Abuse of Dominance in EU Competition Law

Abuse of dominance, also known as "dominant position abuse," is a violation of EU competition law that occurs when a company with a dominant market position engages in conduct that harms competition. This can include actions such as pricing below cost to drive competitors out of the market, tying or bundling products to prevent customers from using competitors' products, or refusing to supply goods or services to customers who also use a competitor's products. The EU has the power to investigate and impose fines on companies that engage in abuse of dominance, and can also order the company to stop the abusive conduct.
